Maungatautari Ecological Island Solves Membership & Donations

CENTAMAN adds value to Maungatautari memberships CENTAMAN is delighted to announce that the Maungatautari Ecological Island Trust has chosen CENTAMAN’s membership and donations solution to manage the increasing number of members and people wishing to donate to this internationally significant restoration project.

“We are excited about the efficiencies the CENTAMAN system is going to provide us.  “Thanks to funding from Fountain City Sports Foundation we will have an efficient, state-of-the-art data entry system, an automatic payment facility, and a solid data structure for the future – it’s going to  greatly improve our service and the value members and sponsors  receive from their involvement with Maungatautari . CENTAMAN have also given us some exciting ideas for the future” commented Maungatautari’s office manager   Susan Gough.

CENTAMAN’s General Manager Mike Henton says “It is exciting to welcome such an interesting tourism attraction such as Maungatautari to our family.  The solution we are implementing for the team will provide them the ability to expand operations and further enhance the conservation and preservation work they are performing in the area, we are proud to be involved in helping revive NZ native flora and fauna.” 

This addition brings the number of sites operating CENTAMAN in New Zealand to over 50 adding to a total of over 700 sites worldwide. CENTAMAN is a market leader in the provision of computer systems for the leisure and venue, tourism and local government markets.  CENTAMAN software is developed in Sydney and provides dedicated New Zealand based support to all New Zealand clients 24 hours/day from offices in Auckland. 

Maungatautari is a 3,400 hectare forested mountain near Cambridge and Te Awamutu.  A community led restoration project is underway on the mountain which involves the permanent removal of all introduced mammalian pests, along with the return of a wide range of native wildlife.  Takahe, kiwi, kaka, kokopu, hihi (stitchbirds) and popokatea (whiteheads) have already been reintroduced to three pest free enclosures on the mountain.
